Since it's been so long, I guess I'll start with the most recent news. My sweet Avery Grace is 10 months old today! She didn't do much celebrating, though, because she has a cold of some sort. Nicholas had it last week and kindly passed it along to Avery. This is definitely an unpleasant bug. It involves a fever (sometimes a really high fever), a nasty cough and a runny nose. The sum of these symptoms equals a very fussy child that wants to be held all day long. However, in spite of her feeling ill, Avery cooperated with mommy for some pictures to mark the occassion.
I don't know how big Avery is now. At her last appointment (beginning of May--9 months old) she was 17 lbs. 13 oz. and 26.5 inches long. She's probably another pound chunkier now. Developmentally, Avery has changed so much in the past month. My last post was just after she had her cast removed and Avery was on the very brink of crawling. She made it official on Mother's Day weekend while we were in Myrtle Beach, and within another week she was zipping around the house and pulling up. Avery also has 4 teeth now (both front teeth on the top and bottom) and has started eating lots of different foods, including finger foods. Thanks to puffs, Goldfish, and cheese, her fine motor skills have improved tremendously! One of Avery's favorite things is to stand at the ottoman and have a snack of puffs. She is such a little sweet heart and brings so much love, joy and happiness to my life every single day. I feel so blessed to have her!!!
